- League Phase Instead of Group Stage:
- The traditional group stage will be replaced by a league phase.
- The number of participating clubs will increase from 32 to 36.
- Teams will play 8 matches against eight different opponents (4 home and 4 away).
- Clubs will be ranked together in a single league table.
- Qualification and Match Allocation:
- Teams will be seeded into 4 pots and will face 2 teams from each pot.
- The new format allows clubs to compete against a wider range of opponents.
- Allocation of Additional Spots:
- Slot One: The Club ranked third in the League of the Association in 5th place in UEFA’s ranking.
- Slot Two: An additional domestic champion via the Champions Path qualifying process.
- Slots Three and Four: Best performing associations in the previous season will each gain an extra spot.
- Knockout Phase:
- The top 8 teams in the league automatically advance to the round of 16.
- Teams finishing 9th to 24th will compete in a two-legged playoff for a place in the round of 16.
- Teams ranked 25th or lower will be eliminated without entering the UEFA Europa League.
- Playoff and Knockout Format:
- Playoff matches will feature seeded (9th-16th) and unseeded (17th-24th) teams, with seeded teams playing the return leg at home.
- Winners of the playoffs join the top eight in the round of 16.
- From the round of 16 onwards, the format remains unchanged, culminating in a final at a neutral venue.
- Scheduling:
- Matches before the final will be played midweek.
- The final will continue to be held on a Saturday.

- UEFA Europa League: Adopts a similar format with 8 matches in the league phase.
- UEFA Europa Conference League: Renamed UEFA Conference League, featuring 6 matches in the league phase.
