UEFA Releases 2024/25 Club Coefficient Rankings: Manchester City Remains at the Top

UEFA has announced the updated club coefficient rankings for the 2024/25 season, with Manchester City holding their number one position. These coefficients play a crucial role in determining seedings for UEFA’s club competition.

The rankings are based on a weighted algorithm that evaluates results over the past 4 seasons, including the home association’s coefficient during that period. For the 2024/25 season, performances from the 2020/21 campaign onwards are considered.

Top Performers

Manchester City retains the top spot for the 2nd consecutive year. Real Madrid climbs to 2nd place after securing their 15th UEFA Champions League title. Bayern Munich and Liverpool take the third and 4th spots, respectively. Roma, thanks to their impressive European runs, surprisingly secures the fifth position.

Other Notable Rankings
  • Paris Saint-Germain (6th)
  • Villarreal (7th)
  • Borussia Dortmund (8th)
  • Chelsea (9th)
  • Inter Milan (10th)

Manchester United ranks 14th.

Surprising Rankings

West Ham United, 2023 UEFA Conference League winners, impressively sit at 16th. Atletico Madrid (17th), FC Barcelona (18th), and Arsenal (19th) follow closely. Italian giants Napoli (21st), AC Milan (22nd), and Juventus (23rd) find themselves outside the top 20 due to inconsistent European league performances. Rangers FC, benefiting from their 2021/22 UEFA Europa League final run, are at 28th.
