Spain completed a double in the UEFA Euro 2024 individual awards as Rodri won the Player of the Tournament award and Lamine Yamal took home the Best Young Player of the Tournament award.
Manchester City’s Rodri played a crucial role in Spain’s unbeaten run. Despite being substituted at half-time in the final against England, likely due to an injury, his influence on the tournament remained undeniable. His exceptional performances in the midfield earned him the coveted Player of the Tournament award.
Missing the all-important final 45 minutes did his reputation no harm, however, as Rodri got his hands on the Best Player of the Tournament prize when all was said and done.
Lamine Yamal, the 17-year-old sensation, also made history by winning the Young Player of the Tournament award. His remarkable skill and maturity on the field were pivotal to Spain’s success, highlighting a bright future for the young talent.
Spain’s dual triumph in the individual awards underscores their collective and individual brilliance, cementing their legacy in UEFA Euro 2024.
