Carlo Ancelotti Rules Out More Real Madrid Signings
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that the club will not be making any further signings this summer.
Despite losing key defenders like Nacho Fernandez and Rafa Marin, the Italian Coach is confident in his squad’s depth, particularly with the return of injured players like David Alaba and the emergence of Academy young talents.
Real Madrid will be looking to defend their La Liga and UEFA Champions League titles won in the 2023/24 season. After a lengthy transfer saga, they finally added Kylian Mbappe to their squad, while Brazilian wonder-kid Endrick arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu after agreeing his move to Spain in December 2022.
Real Madrid are a bit short in the center-back department and were linked with Leny Yor before being snapped up by Manchester United, who quickly agreed a deal for the French teenager.
However, when asked if Real Madrid had finished building their squad, Ancelotti said: “It’s a done deal. [Jesus] Vallejo is back, [David] Alaba is recovering and the youngsters who are training with us have quality. We are very well in that position covered there is no way out because everyone wants to stay.
“I’m not worried because we have a great squad in all positions. Kylian has joined the squad and he’s a fantastic player and as I said we don’t have much time to prepare for the first games but the players will have a program that starts 15 days before they arrive. ”
Real Madrid suffered significant injuries in the center of defense last season, with Eder Militao and David Alaba missing large chunks of the campaign with ACL problems.
Club captain Nacho Fernandez and Rafa Marin departed in the summer, but Ancelotti also has midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, who often dropped into defense during the second half of the 2023/24 season.
Real Madrid will play their first pre-season game on their tour of the United States on Thursday morning when they face Serie A side AC Milan.
