Saka Joins Elite Club with 100th Premier League Win
Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka has etched his name into Premier League history after becoming the third-youngest player to reach 100 wins in the competition.
The young forward played a pivotal role in Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Aston Villa on Saturday, setting up Thomas Partey for the Gunners’ second goal. This win marked Arsenal’s second consecutive victory of the season, following their 2-0 opening-day triumph over Wolves.
And in the process helping Arsenal make it two wins from two to start 2024-25, he joined an elite club of youngsters to reach the 100-win Premier League milestone.
Only Wayne Rooney (22 years, 87 days) and Cesc Fabregas (22 years, 180 days) have reached the milestone at a younger age than Saka (22 years, 354 days).
As for Arsenal, it was Fabregas and Cliff Bastin (22 years, 171 days) who previously reached 100 league wins.
Saka, who has a career-best 48 goals, reflected on his achievement on social media: “Proud to reach 100 Premier League wins for my club.” Saka’s 100th win came in his 172nd Premier League appearance. The record for a player to reach 100 wins in the fewest games is held by Phil Foden (127).
