Real Madrid Cruise to Victory Over Valladolid
Real Madrid secured their first win of the La Liga season with a convincing 3-0 victory over Real Valladolid at the Santiago Bernabeu. The reigning champions struggled to create clear-cut chances in the first half but dominated the second half and scored three goals.
Federico Valverde and Brahim Diaz were also on target for Los Blancos, who struck three times in the second half despite a generally lackluster display at the Santiago Bernabeu.
After a goalless first half, Madrid broke the deadlock within five minutes of the restart when Valverde curled a brutal 25-yard free-kick over the Valladolid wall and past goalkeeper Karl Hein.
The reigning La Liga champions had to wait until the 88th minute to create some breathing room when substitute Diaz latched on to Eder Militao’s long ball and fired home.
Endrick, who also climbed off the bench, added gloss to the scoreline deep when he rounded off a swift counter in the sixth minute of stoppage time.
