Arsenal Stage Late Comeback to Defeat Leicester
In a thrilling match on Saturday, Arsenal overcame a resilient Leicester City with two goals in the second-half stoppage time to win 4-2 at the Emirates Stadium.
Leicester looked set to grab a point against the odds thanks to James Justin’s unlikely save in the opening 18 minutes of the second half.
Arsenal were in full control in the early exchanges and Gabriel Martinelli opened his account for the season with an instinctive finish inside the box.
Leandro Trossard then doubled the visitors’ advantage before the break, marking his return from suspension with a goal after Martinelli’s strike.
Yet Justin – whose second was an eye-catching volley – pulled the Foxes back level before Mikel Arteta struck again in the closing stages.
Trossard was involved again when he saw his effort deflected off Mads Hermansen by the unfortunate Wilfried Ndidi in the fourth minute due to injury.
Victory was sealed five minutes later when Justin capped off his busy encounter with an unlucky assist as his attempted clearance deflected off Kai Havertz to move Arsenal level on points with Manchester City at the summit.
