Robert Lewandowski Shines with Hat-Trick in Barcelona’s 3-0 Victory Over Deportivo Alaves
Barcelona returned to winning form in LaLiga with a commanding 3-0 victory against Deportivo Alaves, thanks to a brilliant first-half hat-trick from Robert Lewandowski on Sunday.
The match started with Barcelona on the front foot, but an early goal from Raphinha was ruled out for offside in the fifth minute. However, Lewandowski quickly put Barcelona ahead, heading in from a Raphinha free-kick just two minutes later. The duo combined again in the 22nd minute, with Lewandowski finishing a rapid counter-attack initiated by Raphinha.
Lewandowski completed his hat-trick in the 32nd minute, netting his 10th league goal of the season despite taking a tumble as he guided the ball into the net.
Deportivo Alaves had a goal from Toni Martinez disallowed by VAR in the first half and came close to scoring again when Martinez struck the post shortly after the break. Joan Jordan also had a late header ruled out after a review.
With this victory, Barcelona moved three points clear of Real Madrid at the top of LaLiga. Despite the scoreline, Alaves’ goalkeeper Antonio Sivera made an impressive six saves, preventing Barcelona from extending their lead further.
