Leandro Paredes Eyes Return to Boca Juniors for More Playing Time
Reports from journalist Gastón Edul indicate that Leandro Paredes is eager to make a return to Boca Juniors in search of increased playing time.
Currently under contract with AS Roma until June 2025, the Argentine midfielder may be available for a reduced transfer fee in January, aligning with Boca’s financial capabilities.
However, Paredes’ future could hinge on potential changes within Roma’s management. If the club decides to replace their coach and Paredes is granted more playing opportunities, he may opt to remain in Italy. Should everything unfold as anticipated, Paredes could become a significant asset for Boca Juniors as they gear up for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
The 30-year-old World Cup champion began his professional journey at Boca Juniors from 2010 to 2014, where he had the privilege of playing alongside his idol, current club president Juan Román Riquelme. A lifelong Boca supporter, Paredes has consistently voiced his desire to return to the club while still performing at the top of his game.
